Water for All series: Assessment of barriers to water access faced by people with a disability

This brochure assesses the barriers – physical and financial – that prevent people with a disability from easily accessing water, and outlines how CRIDF can work to eliminate or reduce these barriers. The brochure summarises the findings of recent studies examining the difficulties people with disabilities face in accessing water and sanitation services. With regard to CRIDF’s work, the brochure focuses on the need to influence institutions and communities so that they take the needs of people with disabilities into account when designing and constructing water-related infrastructure.
