Water supply and small-scale agriculture recommendations for the area of Luengue-Luiana National Park, Angola

This report covers recommendations on water supply and small-scale agriculture to the Kavango–Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area Secretariat as part of a field visit to the Luengue-Luiana National Park to assess the feasibility of a conservation agriculture programme in the area. CRIDF mobilised a water engineer to be part of the scoping team, with a specific remit to assess the potential for conservation farming; the viability of the proposed treadle irrigation pump system and small-scale irrigation systems; and design recommendations for water, sanitation and hygiene interventions.
